Well, grab your Pok\u00e9ball and the next flight to Australia: a real-life Pikachu has been spotted in Melbourne, Australia, although it&#8217;s actually a very rare and adorable yellow marsupial.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/cerebrodigital.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-13-1024x576.png\" alt=\"-\" class=\"wp-image-524551\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cerebrodigital.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-13-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/cerebrodigital.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-13-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/cerebrodigital.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-13-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/cerebrodigital.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-13-150x84.png 150w, https:\/\/cerebrodigital.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-13.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The calf, about five months old, was found on the ground by a concerned citizen who took it to the Boronia<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/boroniavetclinic\/photos\/a.897439643653363\/2208445405886107\/?type=3\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/boroniavetclinic\/photos\/a.897439643653363\/2208445405886107\/?type=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Veterinary Clinic<\/a> and Animal Hospital<a href=\"https:\/\/www.boroniavets.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> (BVCAH)<\/a> in Melbourne.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It belongs to a species of pokemon&#8230;sorry a species of possum known as <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Trichosurus_vulpecula\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brushtail posum<\/a>, but pikachu is special its bright orange-yellow fur makes it unique and they are usually called &#8220;golden possums&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Trichosurus_vulpecula\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brushtail Posum<\/a> are usually grayish in color, but little Pikachu has a genetic mutation that causes her to lack melanin, the pigment responsible for dark eye, hair and skin color in humans.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After being examined by veterinarians, the hatchling was placed under the care of a wildlife caretaker, as its striking color makes it especially vulnerable to predators, such as owls, and Pok\u00e9mon hunters.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-gestor-del-servicio wp-block-embed-gestor-del-servicio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fb-post\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/boroniavetclinic\/photos\/a.897439643653363\/2208445405886107\/?type=3\" data-width=\"552\" style=\"background-color: #fff; display: inline-block;\"><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because the possums&#8217; territoriality makes them difficult to release and their bright coloration increases their vulnerability, they were moved to a wildlife sanctuary where they live happily.
